Improve Your Chess: Reader Questions about his game Answered

Opening: A70: Modern Benoni

Player(s):

White transposes into a Benoni and uses and opening finesse to take advantage of a questionable Black move order.  Then White, misunderstanding the "pointing rule" and unaware of Larry Kaufman's "redundant knights" idea (http://www.danheisman.com/evaluation-of-material-imbalances.html ) allows Black to trade off an awkward knight and achieve equality. White sends in several questions which I get to answer as the game unfolds.
