GM Yermolinsky - Women Chess 2023 - Part 3

Opening: C67, D00, E11: Ruy Lopez: Berlin Defence Open Variation, Queen's Pawn Game, Bogo-Indian Defence

Player(s): Zhu, Goryachkina, Batsiashvili, Harika

While the chess world is awaiting the start of a World Championship match, there's a break in high-profile events. I took it as an opportunity to look at women's chess, which I haven't done in quite a long time. The first try wasn't entirely successful. I looked, but I wasn't sure who the current World Champion was (Ju Wenjun) and who and when is going to challenge her (there's a match going on between Lei Tingjie and Tan Zhongyi). In the meantime, where on the ongoing Grand Prix event, they say it is the third one, but who won the first two? ( Lagno and Kosteniuk, respectively). Anyway, Wikipedia helped a bit, but I'm still a bit confused about the whole thing. Videos #2 through #4 focus on the winners of the most recent tournament in New Delhi, part of the Grand Prix cycle to determine two qualifiers for the next Candidates' tournament. The heroines were Bibisara Assaubayeva of Kazakhstan, Alexandra Goryachkina of Russia, and Zhu Jiner of China.
