Opening: B08: Pirc: Classical

In this chapter, GM Marian shows us probably the most popular line, which is called classical. White goes Be2 and Be3. Black has many options like Bg4, Nc6, or c6 and even c5. Most of the time, white goes h3 to prevent part of these ideas. Then the best is to play c6 with idea b5. So white has to push the a-pawn as well. Then black should either play e5 as soon as possible or play Qc7 and b6, improving his position and leaving e5 for later. Black is quite flexible and has a good game.
