In this video, I will show you how to play against e4 and d4. And why if we want to play the Pirc, it is better to start with g6.
Of course, the main thing is that without the early Nf6, white can play c4 and switch to the KID or Benoni, so you must be ready for this.
But usually, people who start with e4 don't play d4 openings too much. So if white goes for the solid 3. c3 black can even play d5 or Nf6, and he is fine.
After 3.Nc3 black can still go d6 and Nf6 to switch to the main lines of the Pirc. But he can also try a6, c6, c5, or even d5.
After c5, you have to be ready for the Sicilian after Nf3, d5 is similar to the Benoni, and even dc5 is a bit annoying.
c6 with the idea of d5 is a mixture between Caro-Kan and Pirc. If white goes for the f4 lines after d5, he must close the center with e5, and the lines are not so sharp.
