In this video, we will see the line that has developed the most in the last few years. This is 3.f3, where white simply defends the pawn.
It was considered a wrong move for obvious reasons a long time ago, but actually, black has to be careful.
The idea is to avoid the standard dxe4 and Bf5 lines, and black has to choose a plan.
He can take and then follow up with e5. In this case, white should focus on rapid development Nf3, Bc4, and castle and try to use the open files and diagonals in his favor.
Black can go 3...e6, which followed with Nf6, could lead to a French defense after e5 Nd7 and c5.
Also, there are ideas with 3...g6, or 3...Qb6, which deserve attention, and black could play solid and keep the center closed for a while.
