GM Misa Pap’s “Make the Right Decisions in Critical Positions!” - Unclear positions

Opening: A30, C56: English symmetrical, Two Knights

Player(s): Pap, Milanovic, Fontaine

How many times have you heard a master define a board position as "unclear?" But what is an unclear position? When there is an unclear position on the board, it means that both sides have equal chances and that all three results are possible.  In those positions, we need to fight with maximal awareness, because one wrong step, and you may end up in worse or even lost position. It is not like when you have an advantage, and if you make a mistake: in that case, you "only" lose your advantage. In those unclear positions, almost everything is possible, so be extra careful!
In this 11th installment of his course "Make the Right Decisions in difficult Positions," GM Misa, with some brilliant examples, teaches us how to recognize an unclear position, and how to deal with it.
