Every Russian Schoolboy Knows - Same Color Bishop Endgame - Part 1

Opening: B33:

Player(s): Morales, Jimenez

The same color bishops are known to be easy to evaluate. Just look at the pawn structure, and you will be able to tell which side is playing for a win. There aren't very many sharp scenarios when both sides push their passed pawn forward. Most of the time it comes down to breaking down a fortress by infiltrating with the king. Nothing new about it in the following examples, just application of the known principles. The attacker must be keenly aware of securing his last pawn, once his king is going to the far end of the board to win the opponent's bishop. There's often an issue of a rook pawn with a wrong color of the promotion square as well. Do the work and you will be rewarded with satisfying endgame results!
