Champions’ Extraordinary Winning Ideas - Video 1 - Lasker Rooks

Opening: C02, C55, A58, C42: French: Advance variation, Two Knights Defense, Benko Gambit, Petrov Defense

Player(s): Pap, Indjic, Karjakin, Gelfand, Lajthajm, Lasker, Marshall

In the intro video, we have seen how such Lasker rook lift could be effective. It might also be more comfortable to spot such an idea in the endgame. Rook lift "a la Lasker" is also possible in the middlegame. It could be even more powerful, especially if it is connected with a direct attack against the opponent's king.
Here, we will see some helpful examples, starting with, of course, Laker's game, where rooks are demonstrating their real power. If you manage to learn these ideas and integrate them into your game, your play will reach new levels!
